Most people think intuition comes from a single place—the “third eye,” or 6th chakra. And while the 6th chakra is essential for intuitive insight, it’s only half the story.
How Intuition Works
To truly understand how intuition works—and why it sometimes fails you—you also need to understand the 8th chakra.
This higher energy center, located about 6–8 inches above your head, doesn’t generate intuition.
It receives it.
Just like your ears don’t create sound—they simply allow you to hear what’s already in the air—your 8th chakra does not create wisdom. It allows you to pick up, interpret, and trust the wisdom that’s already present within you.
This distinction matters because when the 8th chakra is blocked, even the clearest inner guidance can feel muted, distorted, or completely unavailable.
Inner Guidance Doesn’t Come From the 8th Chakra — It Comes Through It
Your deeper knowing—your soul truth, intuition, or higher wisdom—is always broadcasting.
It never stops. It doesn’t vanish when life feels chaotic or when you feel disconnected.
The problem arises when your receiving mechanism stops working.
Think of:
- trying to listen to a radio station through static
- reading a road sign through fog
- recognizing a familiar face in poor lighting
The information is absolutely there. You just can’t access it clearly.
This is what happens when the 8th chakra becomes blocked, depleted, or misaligned.
To understand intuition fully, you need to understand the partnership between the 6th and 8th chakras.
The 6th Chakra (Third Eye) is The Asking Center
The 6th chakra forms your questions:
- What am I meant to do?
- Is this the right choice?
- What direction is aligned for me?
- What do I need to understand?
It expresses your intentions, desires, and inner inquiries—consciously or unconsciously.
This chakra sends out the signal.
The 8th Chakra is The Receiving Center
Once your question is expressed, the 8th chakra receives the response:
- clarity
- truth
- inner resonance
- “Yes, this feels right” sensations
- knowing which path to choose
- a quiet nudge toward or away from something
When the 8th chakra is functioning well, the answers flow in naturally. When it’s blocked, the answers arrive without landing—like messages you can’t quite catch.
Together, these chakras create the energetic conversation we call intuition.
What Happens When the 8th Chakra Is Blocked?
You may experience:
- confusion about what your intuition is telling you
- difficulty trusting your inner knowing
- receiving “nudges” but not knowing what they mean
- asking for guidance and feeling like nothing is coming back
- feeling spiritually disconnected or unsure of your path
- hesitating to take action because you don’t trust your signals
People often blame themselves for these experiences. But they’re not personal failings.
They’re signs that one part of your intuitive circuitry—the 8th chakra—is struggling to do its job.
How It Feels When the 8th Chakra Opens Again
When this chakra becomes clear, nourished, and active:
- inner guidance feels louder and more recognizable
- clarity arrives without forcing it
- decisions feel aligned rather than risky
- timing makes sense
- opportunities “click”
- your inner yes and no become unmistakable
- you feel guided rather than uncertain
You begin trusting what you receive because it resonates deep within your truth.
Intuition stops feeling mysterious. It feels natural—like a conversation you remember how to have.
Why Nourishing the 8th Chakra Is a Turning Point
You can meditate, journal, visualize, or “try harder” to be intuitive…but if the 8th chakra isn’t open, guidance won’t come through clearly.
This is why so many people feel:
- blocked
- confused
- inconsistent
- disconnected from their higher wisdom
The issue isn’t your intuition. It’s the channel that delivers it.
