To explain how life works, the ancient Chinese developed the Five Element Theory. It posits that everything around us and inside us occurs in cycles, such as the seasons, days, lifetimes, and healing. Every cycle has a phase when it starts, peaks, integrates, rests, and prepares for the next round.

They associated these phases with five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. Wood starts, fire peaks, earth integrates, metal rests, and water prepares to start all over again.

Furthermore, relationships between these elements explain health and imbalances, cravings for certain foods, patterns of emotion, and more.

Their theory makes sense.

It has served them for at least 2500 years and is used today in Chinese medicine and acupuncture around the world.

Foundation Five Gemstone Necklaces on displaySince we discovered gemstones that strongly correlate to the five elements, we have incorporated the science into Gemstone Therapy.

When the elements are balanced and in harmony with one another, we’re more likely to feel healthy and enjoy positive experiences and relationships. Healing is improved and discomfort eased.

In fact, many of the issues that make us feel upset or unwell stem from underlying imbalances of the five elements. Because these are energetic imbalances, an energetic treatment like Gemstone Therapy is an ideal way to correct them. And when it comes to working with the five elements, there are no better gemstones than the Foundation Five.

The Foundation Five set consists of five necklaces that each correspond to one of the five elements. When you work with all five together, you can balance the five elements and their relationships throughout your body.

Working with the Foundation Five gemstones is easy. They allow you to enjoy deep rebalancing benefits that will support any other type of healing work you may be doing.

The following chart lists each element and its Foundation Five gemstones along with key benefits of working with those gems.
