Ensures More Accurate DNA Replication
Moonstone energy also reflects information back to DNA. When cellular replication occurs, the DNA strand divides, revealing unpaired nucleotides. Free nucleotides must then find their corresponding partners to build a complete DNA strand.
If an error occurs, and then repeats with each subsequent replication, the cells can stray so far from their blueprints that they can act abnormally and invite disease. While the body has its own mechanisms to correct mistakes, they don’t always work. Declining health and premature aging are evidence of that.

Quality
There are four parameters we use to evaluate therapeutic-quality Moonstone: color, clarity, milkiness, and quality of flash.
Color
Moonstone comes in a variety of body colors, including white, gray, peach, and green. It has three types of flash, or adularescence: white flash, blue flash, and a multicolored flash that is often called rainbow flash.
Our White Flash Moonstone has a white, light gray, or very light gray body color.
Brilliant White Flash Moonstone
White Flash Moonstone that is a pure white color is considered “Brilliant.” This type of Moonstone is very rare. The energies of Brilliant White Flash Moonstone focus on nourishing, building, and repairing the supraphysical aura—that layer of the aura that immediately surrounds the body.
A healthy supraphysical aura has a smoothing and lubricating effect on the body’s systems. Yet it can diminish with anger and negative thoughts and emotions. Wearing Brilliant White Moonstone with Emerald provides a protective benefit that reduces the damage and repels the negative thoughts and energies of others.
You may also prefer white Moonstone when you want its energies to focus on your immune, lymphatic, or integumentary (skin/hair/nails) system.
Light Gray White Flash Moonstone
Far more common is White Flash Moonstone with a light gray color. Like the moon pulls the tides, the light gray version of White Flash Moonstone has a strong gravitational-like pull on unwanted energies in the body. This supports detoxification, as the unwanted energies are gently pulled through the skin and into the supraphysical aura, where they are then dispersed.
The grayer the Moonstone’s color, the better the gems can pull unwanted energies from the body.
Clarity
A gem’s clarity indicates the degree of inclusion in the stone. White Flash Moonstone has nearly flawless clarity. The blue flash variety is very rare and tends to have some cracks or colorless inclusions. Neither variety should have black spots.
Milkiness
Moonstone’s milkiness is a measure of how well the gemstone’s energies build and fortify the supraphysical aura so that it can better reflect information back to the body. Therefore, White Flash Moonstone that’s milky and somewhat opaque offers the best restorative value, while translucent White Flash Moonstone is less therapeutic.
In contrast, the most effective Blue Flash Moonstone is translucent to transparent, with a minimum of milkiness if any at all. The translucence allows Blue Flash Moonstone’s energy to build a structure for light and life energy to travel freely throughout the aura. It also helps Moonstone’s energies to spread evenly throughout the subtle bodies.

Every bead in our Moonstone jewelry has a bright, unmistakable flash.
When you wear White Flash Moonstone, it’s flash reflects information back to your physical body. This has many health benefits, as described above.
In comparison, the blue flash of Blue Flash Moonstone draws the gemstone’s energy to your mental body. There, it invigorates and stimulates the mind and reflects your thoughts back to you for evaluation and adjustment.
Shape
Gemstone spheres are known for their ability to radiate energy in all directions.
That’s why we use only Moonstone spheres in our healing jewelry. Spheres spread Moonstone energy evenly through the supraphysical aura so it reflects most accurately and effectively.
How to Use
General Guidelines
Wearing a therapeutic gemstone necklace or bracelet is by far the easiest way to enjoy the gems’ healing benefits. Therapeutic gemstones may also be applied on the body as a poultice or strung on a therapy wand and applied in the aura.
How to Wear Moonstone
You cannot wear too much Moonstone, and wearing multiple strands at once can only be beneficial. In fact, wearing many strands of Moonstone is the basis for the Moonstone Ceremony you can experience at some of our in-person Gemstone Therapy workshops.
When Your Moonstone First Arrives
If possible, take your necklace outside in the sunlight to enjoy the beautiful adularescence, or flash, of each individual bead. If you don’t see the flash at first, turn the beads or try viewing them under a different light source.
If you have pain or tension anywhere in your body, place the Moonstone on the affected area. You may notice some relief within a few minutes. When you’re done, cleanse the necklace and then wear it.
Wearing Your Moonstone
Moonstone can be worn continually or as needed. For best results, keep in constant contact with it for as long as possible. This means holding your necklace or bracelet even while cleansing it—but this is easy when using the GEMFormulas clearing sprays. It also means either wearing it to bed as a necklace or sleeping with it in contact with your body. Remove it only to shower.

I am currently wearing both the Brilliant White Flash Moonstone and the Light Gray variety as well. I feel like I need all the help I can get! I had a rough childhood and don’t believe my aura ever developed as I never felt very nurtured.
I felt like I really needed White Flash Moonstone! Knowing my spiritual light is being reflected back into my aura is amazing. Having healthier hair, skin and nails is great too! My nails are stronger even with just beginning to wear White Flash two months ago. I got a light grey necklace to help with anxiety penetrating through to my physical body. I felt surrounded by a protective layer, but it did not just erase the anxiety – I still had to address the problem. A nice surprise was that lots of little freckles and moles on my arms dried up and fell off one by one.
